Archeology

We have uncovered artifacts from two different sites after various digs on the property. At one location, we worked around an old foundation just beyond the wetland. The second site has turned up many a treasure. It is located off the northwest corner of the sugar house and was likely used as a dump.
Recovered objects include; a large steel wheel approx. 3' in diameter, possibly from an old wagon, many small pieces of pottery with hand painted designs, a couple of full sized bottles (one of which reads "C.E. Ingram Bolton Landing NY Registered This Bottle Not To Be Sold". Other artifacts include; a host of mechanical parts, leather from shoes, and casing from shotgun shells. These finds provide a link to the past and bring the history of Up Yonda Farm to life..
