Aquatic Adventure    Pond Study  $3 
Take a close look at the water boatman, the red spotted newt, and the other creatures that live in a pond. This program will allow you to learn about these animals as you try to catch them!

The Pollinators    Honey Bees  $3 
These social insects work full time for the colony making honey. Watch the worker bees toil in our observation hives. Can you find the queen? See how honey is extracted from a hive!

Early Birds    Bird Watching – Program starts at 9 am  $3 
Birds are beautiful and fun to watch. Come and learn how to identify birds in your backyard. Bring your binoculars and be ready to hike.

Animal Senses    See, Hear, Touch, Taste, Smell  $3 

Learn about animals and play games that show how animals use their senses to survive. New Program!

Night Discovery   Night Program  $3   
Learn about the animals that are wide awake while you are fast asleep. Find out how animals can survive in the dark.

Build a Bluebird House   Woodworking  $10 non-Members/$7 Members $10
Did you know that bluebirds are the official bird of New York State? Come learn how to build a nest box to attract them. Click here to preregister.

Butterflies    Fun For All Ages  $3 
Get a close-up view of Up Yonda’s butterflies. Learn how to identify them and how you can create your own butterfly garden.

Wild Things    Reptiles and Amphibians – Live Animals  $3 
Discover the fascinating lives of reptiles and amphibians. Learn more about snakes, newts, turtles and many others.

Walking Sticks    Woodworking $5 non-Members/$2 Members
Create your very own Native American inspired Adirondack walking stick. Click here to preregister

 

Full Moon Hike    Hike at 8 pm  $3 
Join us for a peaceful evening on July 18th, as we take a full moon hike to our Lake George Vista. New Program!

 

Sensory Skills    Fun Activities To Test Your Senses  $3 

Think you have a good sense of smell or hearing? Put them to the test as we play fun games that force us to use all 5 of our senses!

 

Orienteering    Map, Compass & GPS  $3 
Come and learn how to navigate using a map, compass and GPS. Test your skills in our Adventure Course or by searching for one of our Geocaches.

Adirondack Pests    Biting Insects and Ticks  $3 
Learn more about common ADK pests like; blackflies, mosquitoes and ticks. This program will teach you how to avoid or protect yourself from these pests, so you can enjoy the outdoors. New Program!

Build a Bat House   Woodworking  $10 non-Members/$7 Members

Learn about these fascinating nocturnal animals and their ability to control pests naturally then, build a house to attract them to your property. Click here to preregister

 

Campfire Stories  Night Program  $5 non-Members/Members Free
While sitting around a campfire with the moon rising through the trees, we’ll share funny and exciting stories, while snacking on s’mores in the great outdoors!

Spiders  Mostly Indoor Program  $3 
Does anyone like spiders? Explore those often feared eight-legged creatures and take a close look at the Adirondack spiders.

Nature Shapes    Scavenger Hunt – Best for younger children  $3 
Take a closer look at the shape of objects in nature as we go exploring to find examples of them.

Out-n-About   Outdoor Games  $3 
Enjoy an hour of fun-filled activities the kids will enjoy. This program will make you smile and take notice of our natural surroundings

Bugs In A Bag  self-guided adventure  $5 non-members  $2 members
Using self-guided props take this fun filled pack on an adventure around Up Yonda Farm and get an up close look at the wonderful world of insects.  These are featured on Mondays, but available to rent any day of the week. 

 

Pond In A Pouch  self-guided adventure  $5 non-members  $2 members
Learn about the creatures that live in a pond.  This bag will provide the young naturalist with all of the hands-on tools needed to take peak at life in a pond. These are featured on Mondays, but available to rent any day of the week. 

 

Navigation Exploration  self-guided adventure  $5 non-members  $2 members
Go on a treasure hunt and find Up Yonda Farm’s Geocaches using a GPS.  Learn how to operate this tool which may lead to many exciting outdoor adventures. These are featured on Mondays, but available to rent any day of the week.
