Snowshoe Up Yonda Farm

Snowshoe at Up Yonda Farm this winter!

Visit Up Yonda Farm and explore our 3+ miles of easy-moderate groomed trails by snowshoe, take in the winter sights and sounds, and enjoy this winter wonderland! As long as we’ve got snow on our trails, we’ll be snowshoeing at Up Yonda Farm. As of March 1, 2022, all of our trails have good snowpack and are great for snowshoeing. Snowshoe rentals in child and adult sizes are available for on-site use at $5 per day, no reservations needed.

If you’re looking to try snowshoeing for the first time, or want to learn about winter in the Adirondacks, reserve a spot on a Naturalist-led hike, happening weekends in January and February. On the hike, we’ll talk about winter ecology, the history of Up Yonda Farm, and will cover the basics of snowshoeing and animal tracking. These programs travel about 1.25 miles over the course of an hour through the Up Yonda Farm trails and include a stop at our scenic vista point over the lake. Programs finish near the Farmhouse where a campfire and hot chocolate will be available. Reservations are recommended for programs; same day reservations available on a first-come, first-served basis. All snowshoe rentals and programs are weather permitting. This program is suitable for children who are able to walk a mile of gradual uphill terrain, typically ages 5 and up.
