Scout Days – Saturday, October 9th and 16th
Saturday, October 9 – 10:00 – 11:15
Work towards your Fur, Feathers, and Ferns requirement to earn your Bear Badge by completing the following:
- Hike for one mile, identifying six living things
- Observe wildlife from a distance
- Use a magnifying glass to examine plants closely
- Visit a Nature Center
Saturday, October 16 – 10:00 – 11:15
Work towards your Brownie Eco-Friend and Brownie Trail Adventure Badges with a Naturalist by completing the following:
- Plan and prepare for a hike
- Go on an adventure hike
- Find houses in nature
- Talk to an expert hiker about their gear
- Play a hiking game
All programs will be led by a Naturalist and will last 60-90 minutes. The cost is $5 per Scout/participant, adult chaperones are free. Each group must also pay the per vehicle Day Use Fee. Your group is welcome to enjoy the facility and grounds before or after the program, and use our picnic tables for lunch or a snack!

Private Scouting Groups
You can now request a private program for your Scout group! We can accommodate a wide variety of Girl and Boy Scout badges, and more information on the badges we can support can be found in the graphics below. Know of a badge that you think we can help your group earn? Let us know! Most programs run 45-90 minutes, and are $5 per participating Scout, plus the per vehicle Day Use Fee.
